Privacy Policy

The terms “us” or “we” refer to the owner of this website. The terms “you,” or “your” refer to the user or viewer of this website.

WHAT KIND OF INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT FROM YOU WHEN YOU VISIT OUR SITE?

All are welcome to visit longplaywine.com. We are perhaps a bit paranoid, too (after all who reads these pages?), so for a long time we had deactivated our stats package from Google Analytics. Then we built a fancy winery and needed to pay serious bills so we reactivated the Google Analytics so we can better manage our marketing budget.

SHARING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

With the exception of our shopping cart provider, online marketing agencies and newsletter marketing service (see THIRD PARTIES, below), we will not share any personal information that we collect with any third parties or web sites. All the information you give us is completely private and used solely replying to your inquiries or shipping our merchandise to you. If you give us permission to send you marketing emails then we might use your email for that purpose, but never does that email get sold or distributed to any other web site or list.

THIRD PARTIES

Links To Other Sites

Our Website contains links to other sites that we don’t operate or control. If you click on a third party link, you will be directed to that site. We encourage you to review the Privacy Policy of every site you visit.

We neither control nor assume responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third party sites or services.

Our online shopping cart provider is Vinoshipper. When you place an order to purchase wine using our website, you will be migrated to Vinoshipper’s secure website to process the transaction and subject to the Vinoshipper Privacy policy for that portion of your browsing experience. Vinoshipper assists in fulfillment and compliance with shipping laws for more than 1000 wineries. We have been working with Vinoshipper on wine sales since 2009. Due to the complexity of shipping laws, we only process out-of-state shipping of wine through Vinoshipper.

For online marketing we use Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising. We engage a professional service, Logical Position, to manage our online paid search advertising.

For our newsletter, we use Mailchimp to maintain a database of subscribers and to facilitate composing and sending newsletters. Mailchimp retains your contact information for our use. We store your name (so that we may personalize your salutation), your email address (so we can send you the newsletter via email), your city and/or state (if known, so that we can contact you concerning upcoming events we are scheduling in your area, as applicable) and information on how you learned about us (where available, so that we can improve the efficiency of our outreach to potential new customers). For more information about Mailchimp’s privacy policy concerning subscribers to our newsletter, please refer to the Mailchimp privacy policy.

CONTACT FORMS

If you submit a form on our “contact us” page, you will provide the contact information to us that you choose to provide. This enables us to respond to your comment and/or request, if necessary. Your contact information will remain in our inbox until it is deleted. If you have sent us a contact form and wish us to delete your information, you may contact us and we will delete and purge your contact from our inbox.

NEWSLETTER OPT-OUT

If you opt to receive our newsletter or marketing emails and decide to opt out, we have a simple unsubscribe form that is linked at the bottom of each email, or you may contact us directly and we will remove you from the list.
